Compliance and documentation

Compliance support, cyber insurance readiness and security documentation

Have the answers ready before the questionnaire arrives.

Short answerYourColo, a managed IT and security provider in New Albany, Ohio, puts in place and maintains the controls that cyber insurers and larger customers ask about, such as multi-factor login, endpoint protection and tested backups, and keeps the evidence on file so renewals and questionnaires can be answered quickly.

Cyber insurance renewals, customer security questionnaires and access reviews all ask the same thing: prove it. YourColo runs the controls and keeps the evidence current, so when someone asks, you send a file instead of starting a project.

What you get

What we keep ready for you

INS

Cyber insurance renewals

We work through the security sections of your renewal application with you and back each answer with evidence: multi-factor login coverage, endpoint detection and response, backup tests and patch reports.

SQ

Customer security questionnaires

Larger customers and partners send long questionnaires before they sign or renew. We answer the technical sections accurately and keep a library of approved answers, so the next one is faster.

AR

Access reviews

On a schedule you choose, we list who has access to what across Microsoft 365, Okta, Duo, Citrix, file shares and Verkada doors. You approve it or tell us what to remove, and we keep the signed record.

MAP

Coverage maps

A current picture of which users, devices, sites and applications are protected by multi-factor login, endpoint protection, backup and monitoring, and which are not yet.

LOG

Test logs and change records

Backup restore tests, patch and vulnerability reports and a record of every significant change, dated and kept in one place.

DOC

Network and system documentation

Diagrams, inventories and configuration records that match what is actually installed, because we designed, deployed and monitor it.

Who this is for

Built for organizations like yours

  • Businesses preparing for a cyber insurance renewal
  • Suppliers that receive security questionnaires from larger customers
  • Government and regulated organizations that must show access reviews and change records
  • Organizations whose security evidence is scattered across people and inboxes

Why YourColo

Why YourColo is qualified

  • We run the controls ourselves, so the evidence comes from systems we manage
  • Physical security evidence, such as door access and camera coverage, sits alongside the digital controls
  • Answers are written by the engineers who built the environment
  • We do not certify compliance. We prepare you for the auditor, insurer or customer who checks it

How it works

Designed, deployed and monitored by the same team.

The people who design it also install it and watch it. There is one number to call and no finger pointing.

Questions

Common questions

Do you certify that we are compliant?

No. Certifications and formal audits are performed by independent auditors. We put the controls in place, run them and keep the evidence your auditor, insurer or customer asks for.

What do cyber insurance applications usually ask about?

Most ask about multi-factor login for email, remote access and administrator accounts, endpoint detection and response, backups that are kept separate and tested, patching, email security and security awareness training. Questions vary by carrier, so we work from your actual application.

How often should access be reviewed?

Quarterly is a common baseline, with administrator accounts and sensitive systems reviewed more often. Access should also be checked whenever someone changes roles or leaves.

Our renewal is due soon. Can you still help?

Yes. Call us with the renewal date. We start with the questions you cannot answer yet and work on the ones most likely to affect your coverage first.
